When producing a film the development stages must be in thorough detail. The Script, Crew, Equipment, Location and Props all need to be organised. The majority of the time shorts are made by young aspiring film makers and directors so budget is tight or even non existant. The best way to deal with this is being creative and imaginative with the story line and narrative to help your short stand out as well as being able to mange what is accessible to you in a creative way.
The first thing you’ll need before shooting is a script. As a film maker you are not going to be able to shoot a successful piece of film without a script. Writing means creativity and the key is to take your time. Any scripts that will show potential aren’t not written overnight. A good way to start is by writing a script with the actors you have in mind. before writing your script you must have a idea in mind or even a short synopsis to help you brainstorm ideas. working with your potential actors is a great way to build a good script which will also be easier on them in the long run and also gives you a feedback system going on. all you need now is time. Once you’ve got what you think is a perfect script, you’re ready for what’s next.
